Ingredients
- 4 (6 oz each) Salmon fillets, skin-on
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
- 2 stalks Green onions, sliced
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to make the glaze.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan. Press gently with a spatula for 30 seconds to prevent curling. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Flip the fillets and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the salmon is nearly cooked through.
- Pour the honey glaze over the salmon. Reduce heat to medium and spoon the sauce over the fillets continuously for 2 minutes as it thickens and coats the fish.
- Once the glaze is sticky and glossy, remove from heat. Transfer to plates and spoon any remaining sauce from the pan over the fillets.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately.
