Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 Garlic head
  • 1/2 cup Whole milk, warm
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh chives, snipped

Instructions

  1. Roast the garlic head wrapped in foil at 400°F for 30 minutes until soft. Squeeze the cloves into a bowl.
  2. Place the potatoes in a large pot of cold salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Shake over low heat for 1 minute to dry them out.
  4. Mash the potatoes with roasted garlic, butter, and warm milk until smooth and creamy.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then top with chives before serving.
